Does anyone believe the phenomenon of 'Glossolalia' or 'Xenoglossy' (speaking in tougnes)…?
to be a Holy gift that can still be recieved today?

Yes. It is for all generations until Christ returns and believers know God as fully as he knows us.

Act 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Act 2:39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

1Co 13:9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
1Co 13:10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.
1Co 13:11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
1Co 13:12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

1Jn 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

If someone is available for interpretation, yes.

There are some that consider speaking in tongues as a requirement or evidence of one’s receiving of the Holy Spirit. Unfortunately, this results in people "faking it", lest those in attendance arrive at some other conclusion in regards to the person’s salvation.

It’s an unfortunate mindset as, right out of the gate, one is being less than forthcoming in regards to their faith.

Yes, the gift of tongues is a real gift of God that can be received today. To put it in perspective, the apostle Paul tells us that it is a gift of God, but that it is more important to seek the greater gifts.

A handful of churches claim that one must speak in tongues to be saved, resulting in pressure on its members to fake it. This is not right. Neither is the backlash where some Christians entirely disbelieve in the gift of tongues.

God distributes gifts as he chooses. My husband occasionally speaks in tongues in his private prayer and finds it useful. I have never spoken in tongues, and it’s not a problem.

Yes, and no. Not the "gift" where people spout gobbledygook and say they got it from God. But yes, the "gift of tongues" like at Pentecost, where the Apostles spoke and people heard the words in their own languages. God uses the gift of tongues to help people to communicate when they don’t speak the same language. The other nonsense people pass of as the gift of tongues is not from God.

No. These things were signs for unbelieving Israel, and ceased to operate when God cast Israel aside as His channel of blessings to the other nations. Paul said these things would cease, and they have.

Glossolalia is real, but it’s not a gift from the holy spirit. You can teach yourself to do it, it took me about a day or two after I watched a video of Andy Kaufman do it at the Improv. It doesn’t have a real vocabulary or grammar.

Speaking in actual languages that you have no fore-knowledge of would be a miraculous occurrence. So far there is no proven case of it actually have happened.

The supposed gift of discernment is extremely easy to test. You give a claimed discerner actual language to translate. Or give them passages of glossolalia, and see if they translate them all the same each time.

Young men speak of the future because they have no past, and old men speak of the past because they have no future. I am an old man, but I will speak to the young men of the Aaronic Priesthood about your future.
