Why did you like Bridge to Terabithia ?
I’m referring to both the movie and the book. Thanks

I didn’t!

Because it is only the greatest story of innocent love and imagination ever told, that’s why!!! Bridge to Terabithia is the most heartfelt movie I’ve ever seen and the book is near the top of it’s field as well. Did you know that Katherine Paterson wrote this for her son after his good friend was killed by a lightning bolt? She poured everything she had into this story. You can see it and feel it as you read: the tragedy and the love. It is so real and I relate to the characters so perfectly. This changed my life forever as I learned to see life through the eyes of human spirit rather than flesh.

I was moved by the friendship, enchanted by Terabithia, and impacted by Leslie’s death. It was inspiring to see that even though Jess had lost his best friend so cruelly and so soon, he wasn’t going to let all that Leslie go to waste, and would spread the message Leslie had given him, and that Leslie would live on through him. Friendship, imaginetion, and tragdey.

I never saw the movie, but I liked the book. It didn’t have the cliched happy ending that we are used to in children’s books.
